The Heights Hotel in Castlerigg, above Keswick was great: - Friendly and helpful staff - It's all vegetarian and vegan - Big breakfasts with great vegan pancakes - Evening meals, with four or five vegan options, including a huge veggie stew piled on top of chips. - It's got a great view and is halfway up a hill, so you can walk up with less effort, then walk back down to a nice hot meal. - It has a little pub attached, which a friend of mine enjoyed without realising the place was a vegetarian hotel - It's next to a campsite, so you can camp there and enjoy full cooked veggie breakfasts and evening meals.
